Our Story
From an early age all I ever wanted to do was to make cakes and bake! On finishing school I embarked on a 2 year bakery & patisserie apprenticeship which I completed along with many other catering courses.
In 2018 I took a leap of faith and with the support from family decided to buy a trailer and start a travelling Afternoon Tea business. Very soon it had grown into making cakes, catering for all sorts of events and we found ourselves with a loyal following of repeat customers.
In August 2018 we secured a pitch in the beautiful Marsh Farm Country Park where we established ourselves as a local “gem”. Over the next four years we were able to provide a place for people to come, enjoy the surroundings whilst indulging in our cakes & a cuppa!
Like all good things, this came to an end in August 2022 (albeit an untimely one!) and we found ourselves without a pitch and in a state of despair!
We managed , with the amazing support from the local community to keep going and eventually settled into a new pitch in Compass Gardens, which is now our home for “Betsy” at the weekends( & sometimes during the week).
In March 2024 we opened our first shop serving all our handmade cakes, treats & ice creams. We serve the best coffee & hot chocolate (in our opinion!) and have the most amazing customers and are super proud to be part of the community.
